Looking to eat more plants but stuck for inspiration once Monday hits? This personal and welcoming, demonstration-style cookery class makes plant-based cooking simple, satisfying and doable midweek. I’ll cook four vegetarian suppers in front of you, showing techniques, timing and flavour combinations along the way. Think clever shortcuts, store-cupboard heroes and meals with leftovers worth fighting over. Perfect for busy home cooks who want fresh ideas, fast results and food everyone will love. Alongside teaching, I also work privately as a chef for high-profile clients, which keeps my cooking fresh and flavourful, while using recipes that are practical and easy to recreate at home. What you will learn: In this small group demonstration you will:
• Watch how to build bold plant-based flavours with simple ingredients • See proteins like tofu and beans cooked to be tender and satisfying • Learn one-pan and quick-cook techniques for busy evenings • Understand how to use seasonal vegetables for maximum taste • Discover flavour and texture combinations that make meals feel restaurant-quality • Take home recipes and a timing plan to recreate each dish confidently You’ll learn how to make: Thai basil tofu with jasmine rice Cauliflower, kale and cashew noodles Garlicky beans with roasted Mediterranean-style vegetables Linguine with miso butter, shiitake and spinach What the experience feels like: The class takes place in my kitchen in Motcombe, Dorset, with a maximum of 6 guests. Unhurried and welcoming, there’s time to watch, taste, ask questions, then sit down together to eat the lunch I’ve prepared. More like being invited to a friend’s for supper than a formal lesson, this is a relaxed food experience as well as a learning one. Who the class is for: • Busy home cooks looking for fresh plant-based supper ideas • Anyone wanting demonstration-style cookery classes in Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset or south west England • People seeking calm, high-quality food experiences • Those who prefer to learn by watching, tasting and asking questions • No prior experience needed Practical details: • Location: Motcombe, Dorset • Price: £100 per person • Group size: 6 people max • Duration: 4 hours, including eating together • Dietaries: please enquire when booking and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements • Age: over 16s only Booking: Dates are limited to keep the class small, personal and unhurried. Booking early is recommended.

Cancellation Policy

Bookings and cancellations for public classes and individuals: If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking you must do this by emailing us (by email to laura@laurapope.co.uk or via the ‘Contact’ page) at least 7 days before the date of your class and you will be given a new date or a full refund for the cooking class. We are sorry that we will be unable to refund or reschedule a cooking class with less than 7 days’ notice.   Bookings and cancellations for private group events: In the event that you cancel your booking in full, our refund policy is as follows: • If you give us 6 weeks’ or more notice prior to the booking date, we will refund 100% of your payment. • If you give us less than 6 weeks’ notice and at least 4 or more weeks’ notice prior to the booking time, we will refund 50% of your payment. • If you give us less than 4 weeks’ notice we are unable to offer any refunds. For amending the date of bookings: • More than 21 days notice, no charge will apply. • Between 10 – 20 days, 25% of the full class price will be charged. • Between 4 – 9 days, 50% of the full class price will be charged. • 3 days or less, 100% of the full class price will be charged. You may request to increase the number of participants by contacting us by email or phone at least 2 weeks prior to the booking date, in which case we will do our best to accommodate you; however, any increase to the class size is entirely at our discretion. In the event that we agree to increase the number of participants, you must pay the additional cost per participant immediately. Final numbers and dietary requirements for your class must be confirmed no later than 2 weeks prior to the start time of the cookery class in order to give us enough time to pre-order the necessary ingredients, staff and planning.
